Brits Turn The Tables – On Themselves and Red Meat

When you think of dinner in London, it’s probably rare Porterhouse steak with chips (fried potatoes) and overcooked green beans.  The classic British red meat dinner.

No more.  Now, due to the health problems associated with it, and the issues of Mad Cow disease, the Britains are eating a THIRD LESS RED MEAT than they did 30 years ago, and they’ve cut back on the belly-producing white bread.

Next time you’re in London, don’t be surprised if the waiter asks you if you’d like your vegetables steamed or boiled.  Steak?  “I’m sorry, Sir, but we don’t serve much of it these days.”

Better health, better nutrition, and longer life.  They might even be listening to 94-year-old Sir David Attenborough (see https://pharm.org/red-meat/how-red-meat-is-killing-biodiversity-and-hurting-you/).
